On December 28, the Portland congregation gathered in the festively decorated Fellowship Lodge for a year-end celebration. The evening began at 6:00 p.m. with a prayer by pastor Dave Lambert asking God to bless the food and fellowship for the evening. Many willing hands helped to provide the delicious dinner of lasagna, salad, and garlic bread, with a choice of tuxedo cake or crème brulee cake for dessert.
While people enjoyed eating and chatting with old and new friends, Sola Adesope brought a few birthdays to light, including Shade Ajayi who was celebrating her seventieth! He also thanked Brother Dave and Sister Rosie for all the prayers and efforts they consistently make on behalf of the Portland church. Brother Sola then presented them with a gift, which included five restful nights on the Oregon Coast in Lincoln City.
At 7:00 p.m. a slideshow began and everyone enjoyed viewing photos from church activities of 2025. There were many events shown, including the Easter concert, the Memorial Day campground cleanup, Portland annual camp meeting, VBS, and more. The Lord truly blessed His people this past year and more blessings are sure to come in 2026 as the Lord tarries!
