The evening of April 25, young people gathered in the Fellowship Lodge for a Youth Focus. To start, the kitchen crew served Philly cheesesteaks with coleslaw and sweet potato fries. After dinner, it was time for dessert: ice cream bars dipped in chocolate or strawberry coating, with a variety of toppings including toffee, dried strawberries, and sprinkles. Everything was delicious, but the ice cream bars were a definite hit!

Once everyone was fed, Roth Mom led a variation of the "Blanket Name Game" that had been played the day before at Family Night. Individuals stood on either side of a blanket, each one hidden from the view of half the people in the room. When the blanket was dropped, young people raced to name of the person who had been revealed. It was fun and a great way to learn new names!

After a wonderful start to the evening, Sarah, Susan, and Sam Asaya led everyone in singing “Lord, I Need You,” “In Christ Alone, and Holy Spirit.” Then it was time to study the Bible. Erik Calhoun put those present into small groups to study passages about Creation. Each group studied and then presented an overview of a selection of verses. One group even presented a skit about how to defend Creation against modern theories of evolution.

After a night full of wonderful fellowship, good food, praise, and studying Scripture, Brother Erik gave a short message, encouraging the young people to pray and seek the Lord. Before leaving, they had an opportunity to do just that.
