The students will be able to explain why we should be thankful that God created the universe.

The students will be able to describe how God created the plants and animals, and will see that He made them for us to enjoy.

The students will be able to relate how God made our bodies, and will recognize that we should be thankful that He breathed into us the breath of life.

The students will be able to tell how God gave man a living soul, and will recognize that our soul will live on eternally.

The students will understand that God made our minds, and will be able to list specific ways they can use their minds to honor God.

The students will be able to recount how the angel announced the birth of God's own Son to Mary and Joseph.

The students will be able to relate how the angel announced Jesus' birth to the shepherds who received the news with joy.

The students will realize that God loved us so much He sent His Son to earth. They will also be able to recount the events surrounding His birth.

The students will be able to recount how the special star sent from God led the Wise Men to the Christ Child.

The students will understand that God wants to be first in their lives.

The students will understand that God wants us to honor and glorify Him with the words we speak and to be careful of what we say about others.

The students will understand that God wants us to be happy with what we have. No coveting, no stealing!

The students will understand that God wants them to respect and obey their parents and other adults in authority.

The students will be able to explain that all have sinned. They will be able to tell what repentance is and why it is necessary.

The students will be able to describe how and why Jesus shed His Blood on Calvary. They will be able to explain that it is through Christ's Blood that we are saved.

The students will realize that they must have Jesus living in their clean hearts in order to make Heaven their home. They will be able to explain how one can be born again.

The students will be able to explain that telling others about Jesus is part of their growing in Christ.

The students will realize that Jesus is in Heaven now waiting to come back and receive us unto Himself. They will be able to give some details of what Heaven is like.

The students will be able to describe Heaven and Hell, and to summarize what determines in which place a person will spend eternity.

The students will be able to explain that once a person is in Heaven or Hell, there is no changing places. They will recognize that eternity is forever.

The students will be able to explain that we choose where we will spend eternity by what we choose to do here on earth.

The students will be able to relate that everyone is called by God, but that any excuse we give will keep us from Heaven.

The students will be able to describe how the people praised and honored Jesus as He rode into Jerusalem. They will relate this to how we can praise Him with our words.

The students will be able to describe how Jesus suffered for us, and will learn to worship the King by remembering His suffering.

The students will be able to describe Christ's resurrection, and will be able to explain how we worship by singing songs and praising the Lord.

The students will be able to relate Christ's instructions to Simon Peter, and will understand that one of the ways we can worship Jesus our King is through service to Him.

The students will be able to tell of God's promise of a Savior, and explain how this promise was fulfilled in the birth of Jesus.

The students will be able to explain that when God calls us to work for Him, He has promised to be with us as we obey Him.

The students will realize that as we seek God first He will take care of our needs.

The students will be able to explain that they must be saved to be in the "race" toward Heaven. They can also explain that there is a reward for those who work for the Lord and finish the race.

The students will be able to describe what will take place at the second coming of Jesus, and will realize that we must be ready for this event.

The students will be able to explain how Abel obeyed God and Cain disobeyed God. (Note to teachers: Do not cover murder, anger, envy, etc.)

The students will be able to explain that when God asks us to do something for Him it is in our best interest to do it! We should do it or we will be sorry.

The students will be able to explain that God expects us to honor and obey our parents.

The students will be able to retell the story of Naaman, bringing out the point that God's ways must be obeyed even if they are not understood.

The students will be able to tell the story of Gideon and to relate some of the characteristics which made him one of the people God could use.

The students will be able to tell that Ruth chose to follow Naomi and relate why she was a person God could use.

The students will be able to tell the story of Samson and how God used him.

The students will be able to relate the story of Esther and give a reason why she qualified to be used of God.

The students will be able to explain that Noah trusted God, and God used him to build the ark which would preserve man and the animal kingdom.

The students will be able to tell that Abraham trusted God and God called him to be the father of His chosen people.

The students will be able to explain that because Joshua and Caleb trusted God, the report they brought back was that God was well able to give them the land.

The students will be able to explain that Joshua trusted God and God used him to lead Israel to victory over Jericho.

The students will be able to explain that John the Baptist trusted God and was used of God to prepare the way for Jesus' ministry.

The students will be able to tell what God created in the universe. They can explain that it declares the glory of God and reveals His power.

The students will be able to name some of the types of plants and animals that God created. They can explain that God created these for His pleasure and for our enjoyment.

The students will be able to explain that man was created to praise and glorify God, and that God gave man dominion over all the rest of His creation.

The students will know that each one of them is special to God and that He knows all about them. They will be able to explain that God has a plan for each of them.

The students will be able to relate that the shepherd boy, David, was chosen to be king because he was a man after God's own heart. They will be able to explain that God looked on his heart and not on the outward appearance as does man.

The students will be able to explain that David trusted in God because he had proven God to be his strength, and will be able to relate how this was proved in his encounter with Goliath. They will be able to tell what promise is given to those who trust God. (They will be kept in perfect peace.)

The students will be able to explain that David and Jonathan were true friends because they loved each other in good times as well as bad.

The students will be able to relate that God's anointed was at last made king.

The students will be able to explain why it is good to give thanks to God. They will be able to tell different ways in which they can thank and praise God.

The students will be able to use the story of the ten lepers to explain that Jesus wants us to give thanks for what He does for us. They can explain that the one leper who came back received an added blessing for being truly thankful—he was spiritually healed as well as physically.

The students will be able to use the woman at the well as an example to explain that when they tell others how thankful they are for God's blessings they are being a witness for Christ.

The students will be able to explain that even Jesus gave thanks to His Father, God. As Christians we should follow His example.

The students will be able to explain that Paul's testimony to Timothy was thanksgiving to Jesus for loving him even though he was unworthy. Also, Paul was letting Timothy know there is victory in Jesus.

The students will be able to recount how an angel announced the coming birth of Jesus, God's Son, to Mary and Joseph.

The students will be able to recount the events that led up to, and the occasion of Jesus' birth. They will know that Jesus was God's greatest Gift to mankind.

The students will be able to relate how the birth of Jesus was announced to the shepherds and that the news was received with joy.

The students will be able to tell of the wise men's journey as they followed the special star in search of the King—Jesus.

The students will be able to describe the outstanding conversion of Paul. They will be able to explain that salvation for each person is just as real though possibly not as dramatic.

The students will be able to describe the events which took place while Paul and Silas were in prison. They will be able to explain that Paul and Silas were at peace because their trust was in Jesus, and that we, too, can trust God in trying situations.

The students will be able to explain that though Paul was a prisoner and was taken before a king, he was not afraid. He saw the situation as yet another opportunity to tell of Jesus. They will recognize that we must be ready and willing to give our testimony at every opportunity.

The students will be able to describe Paul's perilous journey and shipwreck when he was being taken to Rome. They will be able to explain that God comforted him with the promise that no lives would be lost, and will recognize that God still protects His own.

The students will be able to tell that even as Paul was nearing the end of his life he encouraged the young man, Timothy, to work for the Lord. They will see that the call of the Gospel to each one is to work for the Lord.

The students will be able to recite the Lord's Prayer and explain its different sections. They will know that this was Jesus' example of prayer for us.

The students will be able to contrast proud and humble attitudes in prayer, recognizing that this determines whether or not the prayer is acceptable to God.

The students will be able to explain that Jesus wants them to go to Him in prayer: to ask, to seek, to knock. They will be able to tell why we ask all things "in Jesus name."

The students will be able to relate that they were included in the prayer Jesus prayed to His Father. They will know that He prayed for unity among them, for God's will to be done in their lives, and that they would be kept from evil.

The students will be able to tell that one of Jesus' last miracles was to restore life to a friend who had died. They will know that He gives spiritual and eternal life to any who ask of Him.

The students will be able to tell of the praise and honor Jesus received when He rode into Jerusalem and ways we, too, can praise and honor Him.

The students can relate what happened during and following the Lord's Supper, and tell why we should follow the example the Lord set at that time.

The students will be able to relate the events surrounding Christ's betrayal and crucifixion, and tell why it was necessary for Jesus to die.

The students will be able to describe the events of the Resurrection. They will be able to explain that, though there was sorrow over Jesus' death, there was much joy that first Easter morning when it was discovered that Christ had indeed risen from the dead.

The students will be able to explain that Jesus walked with the two on the road to Emmaus and later that day revealed Himself to them. They will realize when Jesus speaks to us He lets us know that He is real and that we can trust in what He says.

The students will be able to explain that when Thomas saw Jesus he believed, but Jesus said we would be blessed if we believed even though we have not seen Him.

The students will be able to tell that Jesus will return to earth someday in the same way He left—in a cloud. They will be able to describe how they can be ready to meet Him and go to Heaven with Him.

The students will be able to explain that Moses' parents had faith in God so they did not fear the king (Pharaoh). They will know that we can trust God in the same way.

The students will be able to explain that God knew where Moses was and called him to do a special task. They can explain that God knows where we are and has a plan for us also.

The students will be able to tell about the different plagues that came upon Egypt. They can explain that God used these events to deliver the Children of Israel, and understand that when troubles come into their lives they can turn to God and He will deliver them also.

The students will be able to describe the things that took place just prior to the crossing. They will realize that when any pressure comes to their life they can turn to God and He will deliver.

The students will be able to describe the miracles that God wrought in the wilderness. They will know that God cares for His people today and will see to their wellbeing.

The students will be able to tell that the lost sheep represents a sinner. They can explain that Jesus cares about every individual, and is seeking to bring each one to Himself. They can describe the excitement that is felt when a sinner prays and is born again.

The students will be able to tell the different steps taken by the prodigal son—leaving home, riotous living, repentance, new life. They will realize that sin will bring sorrow, but Jesus has great things in store for all who will return to Him.

The students will be able to tell the story of the selfish rich man. They will be able to explain why it is more blessed to give to others than to receive more and more for themselves.

The students will be able to explain that honoring others before ourselves is what God expects of His followers. They will be able to relate what pride is and some ways that it might be evidenced. They will realize that God's Word warns us against being proud.

The students will be able to describe Jesus' miracle at the wedding in Cana. They can explain that it was the first of many miracles that He performed and that He is still working miracles today.

The students will be able to tell why the centurion believed that Jesus needed only to speak and his servant would be healed. They can explain that this kind of belief is real faith, and will be rewarded by God.

The students will be able to tell that Jesus had compassion for the widow whose son had died. They can explain that since Jesus created life, He can restore life—He is life!

The students will be able to describe the events surrounding Jesus' walk on the water. They will be able to explain that when Jesus calls us to do something, even though it may seem impossible, He makes a way.

The students will be able to explain that over a period of many years, men who were inspired by God wrote the Bible so all people could know about Him. They will know that it is divided into two sections consisting of sixty-six books.

The students will be able to explain that the Old Testament includes a written account of the Creation, history of the Jewish nation, and poetic and prophetic writings. It points ahead to the coming of Jesus.

The students will be able to explain that the New Testament was written so all could know that Jesus is God's Son and that by believing in Him we can have eternal life.

The students will be able to explain that God's love is shown throughout the Bible: from His promise of the Messiah, to the birth of Jesus, to the promise of Jesus' soon return. They can describe ways that those who love Him can share His love with others.

The students will be able to explain why the Bible should be a daily part of their lives. They can describe different things in it that will help them in their Christian life: Understanding of God's law, assurance of God's love for all, examples of Biblical characters, admonitions in the Word, knowledge of God's plan of redemption.
