10-23-2022 – Sunday Evening Service

Prelude: A bluegrass ensemble (pictured above) played “In the Garden” and “Just Over in the Glory Land.” Then the group accompanied Deborah Brenner and Michael McCarville as they sang “Farther Along.”

Testimonies: Annika Ewers thanked the Lord for salvation, sanctification, His Holy Spirit, and His nearness as she goes about her life. Seis Arechy testified that as a youth he felt unhappy, but in high school he heard that he could be saved and changed through prayer. When he prayed, in an instant the Lord changed his heart, giving him happiness that has lasted. Jane Ewers said she can point back to exactly when she was saved at the age of nine, exactly when she was sanctified, exactly when she was baptized with the Holy Spirit, and she is thankful that she can trust the Lord.

First Special: The choir sang “When He Calls, I’ll Fly Away.”

Last Special: Caleb Copko sang “Thank You, Jesus, for the Blood.”

Sermon: Dwight Baltzell read 2 Kings 5:9-11 about Naaman the leper, and said that God’s ways are far above man’s ways. He brought out that people need to trust and obey Him, giving Him their small faith and watching God transform it into something much greater.
