On Saturday, November 11, young people gathered in the Fellowship Lodge for a youth harvest celebration. Some visitors from branch churches were in town for a wedding, which allowed for a great turnout. The night began with a breakfast-style dinner including hash browns, perfectly toasted bacon, and a baked French toast cake topped with syrup and whipped cream. A specialty drink included both orange and apple juices along with some fall spices, making for a delightfully refreshing harvest drink! The tables were spread with fall-themed centerpieces and placemats and the fireplace brought more of the warm and cozy theme into the Fellowship Lodge. After the young people enjoyed their meal, hot cocoa was offered with the option of whipped cream and a toasted marshmallow topping.

While everyone finished drinking their cocoa, an image trivia game began. Images were projected on the main screen and teams worked together to figure out what the images referenced. For example, one of the rounds required each group to identify six branch church building locations. Afterward, the young people headed over to the Activity Center and played more games. To name a few, there was a peach ring stacking challenge, a competition to see who could walk with a small pumpkin decoration on their heads without it falling, and a contest to see who could toss a big plushie into the basketball hoop.

After all the games, the young people settled back in the Fellowship Lodge to finish off the night singing worship songs, then concluding with a prayer. Many young people also stayed after to individually pray and seek God. The young people had a wonderful time and look forward to another harvest celebration next year, if the Lord tarries.
