Prelude: The Serenaders (pictured above) played “Remind Me, Dear Lord,” “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” and “In the Sweet By and By” with “Golden Slippers.” Then Imelda and Maya Nedelcu sang a duet of “The Battle Belongs to the Lord.”

Featured testimonies: Adeyinka Owotuyi testified that when a Light of Hope magazine came to his home in 1994, he read the testimonies in it and saw the answer to his problems. He prayed, and God saved him. Shade Ajayi said God saved her in 1977 and has spared her life many times since. One example was when she was at college and she became very ill and could not swallow, eat, or speak, but then Jesus came into her room and touched her, and she was healed. Imelda Nedelcu thanked God for protecting her family during a house fire several years ago, and said that while watching all their possessions burn, she realized nothing in life matters more than her family and that they are ready for Heaven.

First Special: The choir sang “Heaven’s Jubilee (O What Singing).”

Last Special: Kimberly Joseph sang “Don’t Say No to Jesus.”

Sermon: Kirby Hewlett of Kitchener, Ontario, read King David’s prayer of repentance in Psalm 57:1-7 for his text, and said that when a person comes to God with a contrite heart and sorrow for sin, God will freely forgive.
