06-26-2022 – Sunday Young People’s Service

Prelude: The orchestra played “Holy Ground” and “I’ve Been Changed Medley.” Then the youth choir sang “Nothing too Hard for God,” featuring soloists Marcus Luka and Natalie Rael.

Featured testimonies: Sam Asaya testified that God has been helping him to count his blessings instead of dwelling on negative things, and he has found that God is good every day, blessing and protecting. Tosin Olayisade thanked God for Christian friends, one of which reminded her to pray about her flight to camp meeting, and she was thankful after facing some challenges she was able to board her flight successfully. Bolu Adeleke thanked God for answering even his little prayers, including when he wanted to improve his grade, and also helping him to pass an audition for an orchestra. Michael Hancock (pictured above) praised God for giving guidance in his life, helping him to change from teaching computer science to teaching carpentry which he enjoys much more.

First Special: A young men’s quartet sang “Awesome God.”

Last Special: The youth choir sang “Down to the River to Pray” and “Listen to Your Children Praying.”

Sermon: Joey Ruiz District Superintendent of the Philippines, read Joshua 2:9-11 for his text, using Rahab as an example that faith in God can transform anyone’s life.
