Prelude: Sungun Yune began the service by playing “There Shall Be Showers of Blessing” and “Where Jesus Is, ’Tis Heaven," on the organ. A Pullman, Washington, vocal ensemble (pictured above) followed, singing “Heaven’s Jubilee.”

Featured Testimonies: Shawn Worthington remembered the day the Lord saved him and expressed his appreciation for God’s goodness. Seyi Akinrotimi was thankful for the privilege of being born and raised in this Gospel and for the day God saved him and gave him his deeper experiences. Motunrade Adeleye thanked God for making it possible for her to come to Portland for special meetings and said she can’t wait to give Jesus a hug in Heaven. Bill McKibben gave thanks that God sent someone his way to share the Gospel with him almost fifty years ago.

First Special: A men’s double quartet sang “When the Praises Go Up.”

Last Special: Andy Chasteen sang “Sitting at the Feet of Jesus,” as he played guitar.

Sermon: Wayne Butler, pastor in Port Angeles, Washington, spoke on Romans 8:35 and encouraged his listeners by reminding them that the saints of God are more than conquerors and that through Jesus Christ, they win!
