01-02-2022 – Sunday Evening Service

Prelude: Janice Calhoun and Sungun Yune played “Reach Out to Jesus” and “Let All Things Now Living” on the piano and organ. Then a Parker/Lee quartet sang “I’m Standing on the Solid Rock.”

Featured testimonies: Jodi Mixer testified that a year ago, her parents’ home was threatened by a wildfire, but her faith was increased after she prayed and their home was spared. Sierra Mixer said that this past year she experienced some anxiety, but God put a friend in her life who was able to encourage her, and she was reassured that God was working on her behalf even when she could not always see it. Pete Mixer testified that God saved him after he finished high school, and he is thankful for God’s faithfulness in his life. Darrel Lee said that after attending a church service as a college student and hearing people testify how God had saved them from their sins, he prayed at home that night and God took away the desire for sin, and has helped him live a victorious life since then. Patrick Lee said he is thankful that God has been there to help him in every season of life.

First Special: The choir sang “Deeper, Deeper.”

Last Special: Pete, Jodi, and Sierra Mixer (pictured above) sang “This Is Just What Heaven Means to Me.”

Sermon: Tom Pricskett took his text from 2 Corinthians 6:1-2, and encouraged the congregation to not put off receiving what they need from God, and fulfilling what He has called them to do in His work.
