The Apostolic Faith Church in Pullman, Washington, held its annual weekend of special meetings from August 15-17, 2025.

On Friday evening, the opening service began with a flute ensemble presenting “There Is Power in the Blood” and “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” followed by the choir’s rendition of “I’ve Been Changed.” Congregational singing was led by Femi Johnson. Roth Mom, from Portland, Oregon, offered the opening prayer. Joshua Adaramola welcomed the congregation and introduced the guest minister, Florin Baros, from Port Angeles, Washington, who was accompanied by his wife, Jill, and their children. Visitors from Port Angeles and Seattle, Washington; Portland, Oregon; and Virginia were warmly received with a round of applause.

The choir sang “Oh the Glory Did Roll,” opening a time of testimonies. Uplifting accounts were shared by many, including Pearl Oladele, Roberta Parker, Tylor Sifagaloa, and Kristy Mom. Each spoke of God’s power to save, heal, and sustain His people. The choir then sang “Lord, I Give My Heart to You,” after which Brother Florin preached from 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 on the theme, “Be Ye Reconciled to God.” He emphasized that to receive from God, we cannot keep Him in a box—we need to yield control to Him and let Him do the work His way. A powerful prayer service followed, and God’s Spirit was felt as many sought Him earnestly at the altars. The evening concluded with warm fellowship and refreshments.

Saturday morning began with breakfast for all, followed by a devotional led by Brother Florin and Sister Jill. Josiah Lere-Adams led the congregation in singing, then Franchesca Mom, from Portland, offered the opening prayer. The devotional was centered on the assurance that God can keep His children through life’s trials. The Baros’ shared a moving testimony of God’s sustaining hand during a difficult health situation. Sister Jill’s words, “We are not in control—God is in control,” left a lasting impression. The devotion ended with a time of prayer around the altars followed by an evangelism walk through downtown Pullman and the venue of the National Lentil festival. Attendees had a time to share Jesus with people at the festival through tracts. After the evangelism walk, out-of-town visitors were treated to a luncheon and a time of fellowship before they were given the opportunity to tour the Pullman area.

Later that evening, the youth choir and orchestra presented an evening of sacred music. The program was opened by a congregational prayer given by Howard Wilson, of Port Angeles. Under the direction of Brother Josiah, the youth choir sang uplifting selections including “To the King,” “Ancient of Days,” “Joy in the Camp,” “Heaven’s Joy Awaits,” “Saints Bound for Heaven,” and “Won’t It Be Glory There.” An octet sang “You Can Move that Mountain,” and a Baros family trio blessed the congregation with “Knowing You.” The congregation also joined in song, filling the sanctuary with joyful hymns. Following the singing, Brother Roth gave a short sermon, reading from John 14:6. He emphasized that regardless of what popular culture says, there is only one way to get to Heaven, which is Jesus. The evening of music closed with a song of invitation, after which Kristin Lee, from Portland, gave the closing prayer. Fellowship followed with food and conversation, and the unity among God’s people was evident.

Sunday morning began with Sunday school classes for all ages. God’s blessing was evident in every classroom as His Word was taught with clarity and power. The morning service brought together over one hundred worshippers. David Asokeji and Ayo Adaramola started the service with a flute duet, followed by the choir singing “Do Lord, Remember Me.” Brother Femi led the congregational singing and Superintendent General Sola Adesope, of Portland, said the opening prayer. A vocal ensemble sang “What a Friend,” followed by the Scripture reading by Brother Roth, taken from Ephesians 3:1-21. A Portland trio sang “Softly and Tenderly” before Brother Florin preached from Ephesians 3:19-20. His message emphasized that while being reconciled with God is a miraculous experience, it is only the beginning. He expressed the Lord’s desire for an all-encompassing relationship with each of us. The service ended with a closing prayer by Brother Howard, followed by a refreshing time of prayer around the altars.

The meetings concluded with a time of fellowship and a buffet luncheon. Truly, the 2025 Pullman Special Meetings were marked by God’s presence, powerful testimonies, inspiring music, heartfelt preaching, and victories around the altars. Attendees left spiritually uplifted and determined to walk more closely with the Lord in the days ahead.
