The 2026 Wharton, New Jersey, youth rally was held April 17-19 with the theme “Vessel Unto Honor” taken from 2 Timothy 2:20-21. Representatives came from the Virginia-Boston-DC areas and Oceanside, New York. The week preceding the youth rally, the church had early morning, noon, and evening prayer meetings in preparation for the weekend.

Friday was a Zoom prayer meeting for the youth. The prayer leader enjoined all who were present to first thank God for the 120 anniversary of this work, and then read a couple of Scriptures to encourage all to pray for salvation, sanctification, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and other individual needs.

On Saturday, a seminar was held on Zoom with Erik Calhoun from Portland, Oregon as the guest speaker. Brother Erik took his text from the theme verse and presented various vessels and their uses. He stated the importance of the vessels being clean, comparing how a person's life must be cleansed from sin before it can be filled and used by God. An interactive session and prayer meeting followed.

The Sunday morning service began with the orchestra playing “Make Me a Servant” and “I Will Serve Thee.” The choir sang “Bring Your Vessels Not a Few.” Before the Scripture reading taken from 2 Timothy 2:19-22, a mixed quartet sang “Brighten the Corner,” and a soloist sang “Clay in the Potter’s Hand.” Nathaniel Hunsu, the guest speaker from Athens, Georgia, took his text from 2 Timothy 2:20 and gave background on how Paul was calling Timothy’s attention to the different people who would be in his congregation. Brother Nathaniel encouraged all to be vessels unto honor—individuals who will not be entangled with the affairs of this world.

The evening evangelistic service started with the orchestra playing “Saved” and the choir singing “Springs of Living Water.” There were testimonies of God’s goodness and before the sermon, the choir sang “Whosoever Meaneth Me.” Reading from Psalms 48:12 and 87:5-6, Brother Nathaniel preached on being a discerning generation in an age of distraction. He challenged the young people to consider and contemplate the beauty of this Gospel handed down for 120 years. He compared the Apostolic Faith Church to Zion, with its towers and bulwarks being the pulpit, pastors, and elders. He admonished the congregation to be a generation who will preserve the Gospel and serve God in the beauty of holiness.

There were testimonies by several young people about the power of God to save and keep, and the desire from some to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The saints in Wharton are grateful for the refreshing messages and teaching during the youth rally and hope to build on what they learned in the days ahead.
