The 2026 Australia camp meeting opened in Sydney on Sunday, September 27, with a historic celebration: the dedication of our first church building in Australia.

The dedication, which began outside with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, was conducted by Superintendent General Sola Adesope. He was visiting Australia for the first time, accompanied by his wife, Tolu, and their son, Josiah. The occasion also brought together brethren from Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Newcastle, Perth, and Sydney, Australia, reflecting the unity and growth of the work. In addition, others participated online.

After the ribbon-cutting and the declaration of the building as sanctified, the ministers led the congregation into the new sanctuary in a joyful procession. The woodwind and brass sections of the orchestra followed, filling the atmosphere with music as brethren entered their new place of worship with thanksgiving. A special highlight was a children’s program thanking God for His faithfulness. The children sang “Ebenezer, It’s by God’s Grace” and presented a short drama. It depicted the journey of establishing the Australia work, including the twenty-two years that the congregation worshiped in a rented hall.

During the announcements, the Director of Australia Work, Sam Ajayi, who was present with his wife, Shade, encouraged the congregation to give God thanks for His faithfulness. Five minutes was set aside for this, during which the congregation praised God for fulfilling their prayers by providing a permanent place of worship. The choir lifted hearts with song, and then the testimony of one who had been in the work from the early days reminded everyone of how far they had come. For the message, Brother Sola spoke on “The Sanctuary, a Place of Refuge,” taking his text from 2 Chronicles 7:15-16. He said the new building is to be a refuge dedicated to worship, prayer, fellowship, and the proclamation of the Gospel.

In the evening, Brother Sam brought the message on “Our Spiritual Warehouse” from selected verses in Exodus 25. He said the Lord made no mistake in providing a warehouse for a sanctuary. Unlike a factory where things are only made, God will use the Sydney church to create, polish, refurbish, and beautify His people for His glory, readying them for Heaven. Both services stirred hearts and led to a good response at the altars.

As the camp meeting continued, Bible teachings were held in the mornings. On Tuesday, Ernest Ekerijola, who is the resident leader of the Australia work, taught on “The Tabernacle: Shadow of the Three Christian Steps.” Brother Sam gave Wednesday’s teaching on “Marriage Under the Power of the Blood.” Highlighting the power in the Blood to purify, he encouraged families to place their homes under it. On Thursday, Brother Sola ministered from Romans 12:1-2 on “Consecration.” He emphasized the need for believers to set themselves apart “as living sacrifices” for God’s work. The final teaching was on “Christianity in a Changing World.” It brought out that the Word of God does not change with time, location, or culture.

On Friday afternoon, a young people’s service in which Emmanuel Esan of Adelaide preached, provided the youth an opportunity to receive instruction relevant to their spiritual walks.

Evangelistic services were held in the evenings. On Monday, Emmanuel Tshuma of Sydney charged God’s people to seek Him diligently. On Tuesday, Frank Igweonu, the Melbourne leader, encouraged all to be “Vessels of Honor.” On Wednesday, Olalekan Olagookun of Melbourne spoke on “The Goodly Heritage,” emphasizing that a person must know God to serve Him. He especially encouraged the youth to continue with what they have been taught. On Thursday, Brother Ernest drew from Solomon’s wisdom to “buy the truth and sell it not.” He charged the congregation to hold firmly to the truth in a world filled with ideas contrary to the Gospel.

The final evening service on Friday brought a powerful conclusion to the week. For the message, Brother Sola spoke on “The Repairer Is Here.” The congregation was deeply moved, and many went to the altars afterward to pour out their hearts to God in prayer. The service culminated in a powerful altar experience, with souls being saved and sanctified.

On Saturday evening, the saints gathered to observe the ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and the Washing of the Disciples’ Feet. The service provided a solemn time of fellowship and obedience to the teachings of Christ.

The Camp meeting concluded on Sunday, October 4, with a devotional service. The announcements included that next year’s camp meeting, should the Lord tarry, will be held September 26 to October 3. Also, in mid-January, online registration will open for brethren desiring to attend the 25th anniversary of the Australia work in 2028. For the message, Brother Sam spoke on “Preach the Word,” challenging the saints to practice what the Lord imparted during the week. A stirring altar service followed.

As the saints returned to their various locations, hearts remained expectant for what God will continue to do.
