The 2025 Eastern Caribbean camp meeting was held July 13-17 on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Delegates came from Barbados, Tortola, and Orlando, Florida, to join the brethren of St. Thomas.

Michael Anthony, the Eastern Caribbean District Superintendent, said the weather outside was perfect: calm, warm, and breezy, but it paled in comparison to the rich atmosphere of fellowship inside. He said that even the frequent power outages didn’t detract from the services.

The opening day began with Sunday school and then the morning devotional service. For the prelude, a clarinet and flute duet of “The Prayer” was played by Angelyne Dolne and Rayne Rogers respectively. The choir followed with a thrilling rendition of “Revelation.” Brother Michael welcomed everyone and shared greetings from the Superintendent General, Sola Adesope, and the Director of Caribbean Work, Tim DeBusk.

The congregational singing began with “Showers of Blessing,” which was the camp theme song and would continue to be sung at the commencement of each service. Other songs followed and included such favorites as “’Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus” and “We Have an Anchor.” The Scripture reading was from Ephesians 4:11-16, and the choir selection before the sermon was “Blessed Jesus, Hold My Hand.” Brother Michael took his text from Ephesians 4:15 and preached on “Speaking the Truth in Love.” Afterward, there was a lively time of prayer.

In the evening, a youth service was held. Rayne Rogers led the congregational singing, and George Francis delivered the message on “Keep on Praying” from Daniel 6:10.

During the week, each day began with a thirty-minute prayer session followed by a Bible teaching. The teaching topics included “Spiritual and Physical Health,” “Unity, a Necessity,” and “Purity of the Church.” In addition to these, a video was shown of the teaching on “Unity” that was given by former Superintendent General Darrel Lee at this year’s camp meeting in Portland, Oregon. The congregation also participated in a discussion forum on “Unity and Our Graces.”

In the evening services, the congregation enjoyed the following sermons: “Midnight Is Coming,” from Acts 16:22-25, delivered by Glory Thomas of Orlando; “The Mountain We Must Climb,” from Exodus 3:1-6, by Samuel George of Road Town, Tortola; “When Distractions Become an Attraction,” from Judges 13:3-5 by Sylvina Thomas of Road Town; and “Beware of Your Enemy,” from Acts 6:1-4 by Edsil Paris of Barbados. After the services, several went forward, asking to be anointed and prayed over by the ministers.

During the closing service on Thursday evening, different ones were invited to sing two verses of their favorite songs. There was a good variety, including some old-time religion selections. It was a great close to the camp meeting. Brother Michael said everyone left for their respective homes refreshed, encouraged, and eager to carry the Gospel forward until Jesus returns.
