The 2025 summer camp was held from April 16-20, in Bagong Sikat, Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. It provided a spiritually enriching experience for 340 registered campers. This year's theme, “D.A.R.E. to Stand Out!” was grounded in the biblical foundation of Romans 12:1-2: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” The theme encouraged participants to embrace their Christian identity and apply biblical truths in their daily lives.
The first evangelistic service of the weekend was led by Emelita Torres and the sanctuary was filled with anticipation and reverence. An instrumental ensemble played a beautiful prelude of "He Touched Me.” The combined choir from Bagong Sikat and Tabulac followed with a powerful rendition of "Across the Lands.”
The Saturday service was led by Guadalupe Miranda, pastor of the church in Tabulac. She began by reading Romans 12:1-2, where she emphasized the importance of consecrating one's life to be a vessel of honor for God’s purpose, particularly in sharing the message of salvation. Sister Guada’s message was that the true meaning of salvation is encapsulated in the call to "Go and sin no more." She concluded by encouraging everyone to exemplify that a true Christian must D.A.R.E. to stand out, striving to show that they are Distinct Christians, which is a believer's identity; Accountable Christians; Responsible stewards by taking care of the spiritual gifts and graces given to them; and then Engaging others by obeying Jesus’ command to love each other as Jesus loves.
The camp provided a platform for attendees to share their heartfelt personal testimonies, reflecting on the profound impact of faith and God’s grace in their lives. Adrian Abad, from the Tabulac church, expressed gratitude for eight years of serving the Lord, emphasizing how God has provided him with physical and spiritual strength throughout his journey. He acknowledged the challenges he faced and celebrated the unwavering presence of the Lord during moments of sadness. Vicky Ignacio, from the Bulacan church, recounted her miraculous journey as a mother. Having prayed for a child with her husband, God blessed them with four daughters. Marlon Julio reflected on his childhood introduction to faith by his parents and how he recommitted himself to God after facing various challenges, including a significant decision to serve God through his musical gifts following the passing of an important examination. These testimonies collectively conveyed a powerful message of transformation and God’s faithfulness.
The four Bible teachings also encouraged participants spiritually. Richard Cruz, pastor of the church in Cavite, gave the first teaching with the text from 1 Peter 2:9. The verse emphasized the fact that Christian distinction is a lifelong journey of growth and transformation and that believers must strive to pursue renewal each and every day with the help of the Lord.
Rizaldy Caliboso, pastor of the church in Simimbaan, spoke on the theme of accountability to God and to one another using Romans 3:23 as his text. He emphasized that understanding one's responsibilities as Christians is essential for personal growth and for supporting each other in the faith. Brother Rizaldy stressed the importance of recognition of sin, strengthening fellowship, and living with integrity within the Christian community.
Imelda Lucero, pastor of the church in Ambatali, read from 1 Peter 4:10, 1 Corinthians 4:1–2, and Psalm 24:1. She discussed the importance of being responsible stewards of the abundant blessings the Lord has given, which include treasures, time, and talents. Quoting Psalm 24:1, she reminded those present that everything belongs to the Lord—people bring nothing when they are born, and take nothing with them when they die. She emphasized faithfulness and accountability in all that the Lord has entrusted to a person and using God-given talents for His glory. Using the verses from Ephesians 5:15-16, Sister Imelda stressed the importance of making wise use of one's time by making it count for eternity.
Roger Amansec, pastor of the church in Salay, gave a compelling message on evangelism and the call to engage others in sharing their faith. He stressed that effective witnessing requires not only knowledge but also the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Brother Roger reminded the congregation of the importance of wholly following Christ as they fulfill this great obligation, and not to grow weary from the challenges that come along with it.
The youth service was on Thursday. Christopher Mendoza, pastor of the church in Bulacan, led an uplifting worship session that included powerful musical performances. Brother Chris reminded everyone of the importance of personal consecration, referencing 2 Chronicles 29:5, which calls believers to sanctify themselves for the Lord’s service. He implored the attendees to be “set apart for the Lord,” emphasizing the call for full commitment to God. A number of young people shared their personal testimonies, emphasizing their commitment to living out their faith, which attested God’s goodness and faithfulness to His children.
A pivotal moment during the camp was the Seven Last Words service held on Good Friday. This solemn and reflective service featured various speakers who each delivered a message based on the last phrases spoken by Jesus while on the Cross, fostering deep contemplation of His sacrifice and love.
The water baptism service marked one of the camp’s most significant events. Pastor Miguel Carganilla, drawing inspiration from Matthew 28:16-20, emphasized the profound spiritual significance and importance of water baptism as an ordinance divinely appointed by the Lord Jesus Christ. Amid supportive amens and prayers, Brother Mike reminded those present of their significance in the Body of Christ and the call to live transformed lives. Fourteen individuals were baptized.
The ordinance service took place later that day. Powerful messages were shared about the significance of Christ’s sacrifice and the ordinances of communion and foot washing, enhancing the spiritual depth of the camp experience.
One of the major highlights of the camp was the Easter Service, celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. This joyous service was filled with exuberant worship, testimonies of hope, and reflections on the new life found in Christ. A melodious rendition of “Come Jesus Come” by Dew and Ily Fiegalan, along with the music provided by the combined Bagong Sikat and Tabulac choirs, set the tone for worship. Brother Fernan used Luke 24:15-19 for his text. He gave an inspiring and powerful sermon on being faithful and steadfast despite the challenges that may come and to never depart from the faith but hold onto God’s promises so that the Resurrection power will be manifested in the life of each believer. Brother Fernan mentioned that no one should be like Cleopas and his companion who were set to depart from Jerusalem and go to Emmaus. Jesus instructed His followers to tarry in Jerusalem until they be endued with the Holy Spirit. Brother Fernan encouraged everyone to go all the way with the Lord!
The closing program was a grand celebration filled with music, recognition, and awards for churches excelling in areas such as their Sunday school programs. Brother Fernan encouraged participants to live out the lessons learned, reinforcing the community that developed during the week. Additionally, the congregation sang the song "Smile," fostering a sense of unity among participants even as they bid farewell.
The camp was a resounding success, marked by powerful worship, insightful teachings, and the collective journey of faith taken by all attendees. Many souls received immense grace through salvation, sanctification, and baptism of the Holy Spirit. Each session, testimony, and event contributed to a deeper understanding of what it means to dare to stand out in faith and to live a transformed life!
