The 2026 Angola camp meeting took place in Huambo, August 16-23, under the theme “The Blessings of Restoration.” The meetings centered on earnestly seeking God for restoration, with the collective cry being, “O Lord, revive thy work and restore thy Church,” based on Habakkuk 3:2. Among the delegates were John Musgrave, Director of Africa Work, and his wife, Rodica, along with Onias Gumbo, the District Superintendent for Southern and Eastern Africa.

The camp meeting began on Sunday, August 16, and the opening sermon was delivered by Brother John based on Revelation 12:11-12. He urged all to seek restoration through the Blood of Jesus, which gives victory over sin, daily struggles, and life’s adversities. At the close, there was a good response at the altars of prayer.

As the week progressed, Bible teachings were given each morning. The first was presented by Brother Onias, who took his opening text from Isaiah 57:15 and focused on “The Blessings of Restoration.” He encouraged those present to recognize the need for spiritual renewal and place their trust in God who restores, revives, and strengthens. Wednesday’s teaching centered on “The Call of God” from Isaiah 6:1-8. The testimony of Florence Crawford was shared, with the reminder that God continues to call individuals to deeper experiences with Him. For Thursday’s teaching, Sekainashe Pasimupindu of Harare, Zimbabwe, taught on “The Rules of the Christian Journey to Heaven.” Using 1 Corinthians 9:25-27, she compared sport races to the Christian race, emphasizing the importance of discipline, perseverance, and faithfulness. Friday's teaching highlighted “The Baptism of the Holy Spirit.” It was noted that God continues to pour out His Spirit on those who seek Him. All of these services drew souls to the altars for earnest prayer.

In the evenings, evangelistic services invited a spirit of prayer. On Tuesday, the service was held outside the tabernacle at a location designated as “The Valley of Salvation.” Following the special song “Restore, Lord,” the Angola Country Leader, Antonio Castilho, preached on the restoration work of God from Habakkuk 3:1–3. He emphasized that the God who can bring dry bones to life can restore any situation that seems hopeless. Following the message, many prayed fervently.

All of these services were characterized by a strong sense of God’s presence. In each, the music blessed hearts, creating an atmosphere of praise, worship, and reverence. Also, the testimonies revealed God’s sovereignty, strengthening the faith of the congregation. One man told how he became blind earlier this year and had to rely on a cane and his daughter’s assistance. However, after praying, scales fell from his eyes and he could see—God had healed him. A woman attended with her teenage son and was saved. In addition, her son, who had been diagnosed with a mental illness and hospitalized, was healed.

During the week, youth activities included a Youth Development Department workshop conducted by Brother Onias. He gave each participant a handbook of guidelines for Christian youth. Then he spoke on developing the skills, abilities, and opportunities given by God, for the betterment of His work. Another youth event counselled young people to value the Gospel and the guidance of God’s Word rather than focus on things “outside the fence.” There was a good response to both messages.

A children’s program featured the testimony of Sister Rodica and a short exhortation from God’s Word given by Brother John. The children were encouraged to seek God at an early age and develope a life of fellowship with Him. Afterward, Sister Rodica gave each child a piece of candy, which they enjoyed. 

Other highlights of the week included the announcement of the registration of the Angola work with the government, though under a temporary name. In addition, the annual concert took place. The music provided a joyful and uplifting time of celebrating God’s goodness. A marriage seminar was also held, addressing the different roles God gave to husbands and wives. It emphasized that following God’s plan for marriage while employing love and respect will bring harmony and strength to the family.

On Saturday evening, during the prayer meeting, there was a powerful outpouring of God’s presence, power, and glory, especially among twenty-five of the young people. This was a blessing to the whole congregation. Then on Sunday, following the final service, it was noted that during the week 100 individuals had received salvation, 55 had been sanctified, 25 had received the Holy Ghost, and 20 has been healed. In addition, as people began to return to their respective locations, reports came in of more who received the baptism of the Holy Ghost while traveling home.

The camp meeting was indeed a time of revival and restoration in which the blessings of God were poured out, and continue to be manifested across the country.
