The Pakistan saints gathered in Faisalabad on March 23 for a revival service with the theme of “Let Us Turn to the Lord.” Free transportation was offered for attendees, and despite adverse weather conditions and power outages, over 443 came. A report of the service was sent by Shabeeb Nadeem, pastor of the headquarters church at Toba Tek Singh.

The service began with an opening prayer and then congregational singing led by Zaigham Nadeem. Brother Shabeeb said people of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest, wholeheartedly participated in the singing and worship.

During the testimony time, several stood to their feet to tell of God’s goodness. One brother, named Saleem, said he attended two Apostolic Faith services in Toba Tek Singh and then prayed. He said the Lord forgave him and touched him, and now he is saved and no longer smokes cigarettes. A sister named Naia said her husband was involved in black magic, but she prayed diligently for him, and now he has left that life and volunteers at church. Another sister, Jamila, said she used to have difficulty kneeling, but the Lord gave her strength and now she can pray on her knees for a long time.

Country Leader Felix Panganayi joined the meeting remotely from Zimbabwe. For the sermon, he took his text from Isaiah 53:6, which begins, “All we like sheep have gone astray.” He said Christ’s death on the Cross made it possible for all who repent and believe to be forgiven of their sins. He emphasized that salvation comes solely through the Blood of Jesus. He also brought out that Christ’s sacrifice not only offers atonement for sin, but healing for all ailments. Brother Shabeeb reported that this revelation resonated with many of the listeners, prompting them to immediately kneel and begin praying.

The service was followed by a good time of prayer around the altars and eight received salvation. In addition, many stepped forward requesting prayer for healing, and later eleven of these reported that God had undertaken for them.

Marjorie Reid of Winnipeg, Canada, who has been with the Pakistan saints from the beginning of the work had also joined the meeting remotely. Before the congregation dispersed, she greeted everyone and said how glad and thankful she was that so many had come together to praise the Lord. She also prayed for all who had gathered. Then Bibles were distributed to those who didn’t have one.

Brother Shabeeb closed his report by saying, “We thank God for providing us this beautiful opportunity to gather the saints in one place to praise Jesus and receive His blessings. We appreciate your prayers for Pakistan; keep praying for the expansion of the Word of God here. May God Bless you!”
