Chris Nkhata, the Malawi Country Leader, recently led a mission team from the headquarters church in Lunzu, Blantyre, to hold revival meetings in Mozambique. The services took place September 22-25, at our church in Chire, Lezhi, which is located near the southern border of Malawi.

The first service was held on Tuesday evening, September 22. It was attended by many locals as well as a few representatives from branch churches. Afterward, Brother Chris reported that they had a wonderful altar session and “the Spirit of God was in the camp!”

The next day, three meetings were held and attracted many visitors. Each day the attendance grew and on Thursday, the small church was filled. By Friday, the crowd overflowed, and many stood outside watching and listening through the windows. In all, over 500 attended. 

During the four-day event, many reported receiving a blessing from God. These included seven who were saved, five who were sanctified, and eight who received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. In addition, the Lord healed twenty and revived another twenty-two. 

At the conclusion, Brother Chris said of the revival, “There was much joy in the meetings.”
