The 2026 South Africa annual camp meeting was held from September 27 to October 4. Brethren attended from across South Africa as well as the Southern and Eastern Africa Region and the United States, with peak attendance at more than 650.

The opening service stared with the South Africa national anthem, followed by inspiring renditions of “Cry Out Loud” and “Hosanna to Jesus” by the choir. Then Edwin Mashau, the South Africa Country Leader, delivered the opening sermon on the camp theme: “Salvation by the Remission of Sins.” He said the world today needs a solution to sin problem, which could only be the remission of sins through Jesus Christ, and he urged the congregation to respond sincerely to the call of salvation. In closing, he spoke of Jesus’s soon return, setting an earnest tone for the days of preaching and prayer that followed.

Throughout the week, young people participated in music specials, testimonies, children and youth services, and other activities. The opening youth service on September 27 was titled “Love Not the World” and encouraged young people to receive a personal experience of salvation and live distinct Christian lives. The message highlighted the importance of remaining faithful to God and resisting worldly influences that could hinder spiritual growth.

One highlight of the camp meeting was the closing evangelistic service on October 2, when veteran musicians led the singing and specials. They presented treasured songs that have a long history in the church’s heritage. The congregation enjoyed the familiar songs and the demonstration of an ongoing connection between the generations of believers. The message was from Luke 10:30-35 on the topic of “Ten Things the Lord Will Do for You,” using the Good Samaritan to illustrate the Lord’s care for those who are wounded, distressed, or in need.

The musical concert was another memorable highlight, bringing together choir presentations and instrumental music to create a beautiful atmosphere of worship. The congregation also joined in singing “Amazing Grace” and a few other selections. It was noted that although the ministers had preached throughout the week, on this occasion, “the music will do the preaching.”

Daily testimonies from all age groups witnessed to God’s power to save, keep, heal, and provide. During this camp meeting alone, 116 reported that they had received an experience of salvation, sanctification, or the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and at the Saturday ordinance service, 20 candidates were baptized in water. A special announcement was also made concerning the establishment of a new branch church in Midrand, Johannesburg, to be led by Reineth Mgiba. The leadership requested prayer for the new leader and the growing group in Midrand.

At the closing service, the music program included an orchestra rendition of “Amazing Grace,” a choir presentation of “Xikwembu Xa Matimba,” the youth choir singing “He Is the Rock,” and a solo of “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow.” Taking his text from Hebrews 4: 2-3, Brother Mashau emphasized that the Word preached did not profit those who heard because they did not mix it with faith. Reflecting on the Gospel messages delivered throughout the week, he encouraged the brethren to carry the truths they had heard and the experiences they had received beyond the campground, that the blessings received would produce lasting spiritual fruit.
