11-28-2021 – Sunday Evening Service

Prelude: Shyla and Ariah Piper played a clarinet and bassoon duet of “The First Noel” and “Go Tell it on the Mountain.”

Featured Testimonies: Rosemary Worthington said she prayed at age sixteen when she did not find satisfaction in the world, and God saved her, giving her joy and transforming her heart and life. Sylvia Phillips testified that God saved her in 1948 and has helped her through all of life’s events, including marriage and raising four children. He has also given her many privileges in the Gospel such as being a pastor’s wife and altar worker. Austin McCarville praised God for helping him get on pace to attend Oregon State University, and also for causing the interview process to go smoothly for a job that will accommodate his study needs. Kathy Green (pictured above) was thankful for God’s presence and His assurance even as she awaits answers to prayer.

First Special: The choir sang “Joy Medley.”

Last Special: Jennifer and Emmaline Worthington sang “Mary, Did You Know?”

Sermon: Mark Worthington, visiting from Sacramento, California, preached from Philippians 4:4-7, saying people can turn their Thanksgiving holiday into “Thanks-living” if they will let God’s peace, Word, and Name dwell in their hearts continually.
