Prelude: A trombone ensemble performed “Beautiful Savior” and “Glory to His Name.”
Featured Testimonies: Janice Calhoun (pictured above) thanked the Lord for His mercies in sparing her life several times in her twenties, and later when she had mononucleosis. Patrick Lee thanked the Lord for being with him every day at school and work, and for protecting him. Shade Ajayi said she is thankful the Lord revealed Himself to her at His appointed time and saved her. Karen Barrett gave praise for God’s faithfulness to her and her family over five generations.
First Special: The choir, along with soloist Peter Moberg, sang “I Still Glory in the Cross.”
Last Special: Randy Kaady sang “The Great Judgment Morning.”
Sermon: Bob Downey’s sermon was based on 1 Thessalonians 5:12-22, and he reminded everyone that Jesus was the perfect example for mankind. Just as He needed to pray and commune with His Father, so should Christians rely on prayer for their everyday needs.
