10-16-2022 – Sunday Evening Service

Prelude: Sungun Yune played “Love Medley” and “Victory in Jesus” on the organ. The choir then sang “The Sweetest Song I Know.”

Featured Testimonies: Richard and Janet Trotter, who recently relocated to Portland from Chehalis, Washington, each testified. Janet told how she was raised in a Christian home, living in Chehalis from the time she was one year old, and the Lord saved her and has taken care of her. Rich (pictured above) was also raised in a Christian home but wanted to go out and try the world as a young man. He joined the Air Force, and after he got out in 1972, the Lord saved him in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

First Special: Shawn Worthington, Caleb Copko, and Michael McCarville sang “What a Lovely Name.”

Last Special: Jennifer Worthington sang “Sitting at the Feet of Jesus.”

Sermon: Erik Calhoun read Romans 5:8-11 and explained that the atoning Blood of Jesus has the power to buy back, to forgive, to cleanse, and to heal, and it is available to all.
