10-07-2022 – Friday Evening Youth Service

Prelude: The young people’s orchestra played “Amazing Grace” and “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.” The young people’s choir then sang “This Is the Day.”

Featured Testimonies: Carter Luka said he was thankful that the Lord saved him when he was in the fifth grade and sanctified him later at camp meeting. Hunter Cripps has recently been thinking a lot about when he was saved at six years old: God was talking to his heart, so he went to the altar and asked the Lord to save him from his sins, and the Lord did that. Susie Olayisade testified that she was recently put in a difficult situation at work where she was asked to do something that violated her conscience. She said it was not easy to stand up for what she believes, but the Lord gave her strength to do that, even if she will eventually lose her job over it.

First Special: Sam Asaya, Marcus and Carter Luka (pictured above), sang “I Won’t Turn Back.”

Last Special: Emmaline Worthington, Annika Ewers, and Angela Lucescu sang “How Deep the Father’s Love.”

Sermon: Howard Canning, pastor in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada, read Esther 4:14 and 5:2 and warned that the enemy presents temptations to young people without telling the whole story, but they can rely on God’s mercy to help them overcome the enemy's devices.
