09-16-2022 – Friday Evening Youth Service

Prelude: The youth orchestra played “All Hail King Jesus,” followed by the choir singing “Jesus Messiah,” featuring a vocal trio of Sam, Susan, and Sarah Asaya.

Featured Testimonies: Anthony Mixer said that after his last job didn’t work out, he wasn’t sure what to do, but the Lord provided him with a new great job. Hunter Cripps spoke of the benefits of counting his blessings, saying that when he’s having a hard day it can be difficult to do so, but once he starts it gets easier and easier. Graham Calhoun (pictured above) was thankful the Lord saved and sanctified him and declared that it’s a pleasure to live every day for the Lord. Franchesca Mom gave thanks for the Lord’s help with her school schedule; she is able to do some classes from home so she doesn’t have to go in every day. Naomi Buliga told how the Lord saved her at camp meeting and sanctified her at youth camp, and she appreciates how He is with her every day.

First Special: A young men’s ensemble sang “When He Blessed My Soul.”

Last Special: Angela Lucescu sang “Restless.”

Sermon: Ryan Trotter, from Chehalis, Washington, used 1 John 2:15 for his text, and explained to the young people that they can live a victorious Christian life if they will resist temptation, hide God’s Word in their hearts, and love God rather than the world.
