08-07-2022 – Sunday Evening Service

Prelude: A brass ensemble played “In the Cross” and “Send the Light.” Then the choir, with soloists Ashley Morgan, Jeremy Barrett, and Deborah Brenner, sang “The House of the Lord.”

Testimonies: Gary Wolfe shared that on August 12, 1972, he put his hand in the Lord’s and asked to be kept, and the Lord has kept him for almost fifty years now. Rosie Lambert (pictured above) told of an incident several years ago when a large horse stepped on her foot, causing excruciating pain. However, when she quickly prayed, the Lord took away the pain immediately. Donna Copko said she recently injured her shoulder and was in pain. She was prayed for last Sunday night, and while the ministers prayed, she felt the pain leaving, and now it is completely gone.

First Special: A men’s quartet sang “Jesus, Hold My Hand.”

Last Special: Deborah Brenner sang “Perfect Peace.”

Sermon: Gary Riler read from Matthew 14:22-31, using Peter as an example of what a person should do when doubt comes in: cry out to Jesus!
