Prelude: Janice Calhoun and Sungun Yune played a piano/organ duet of “In Christ Alone.” Then Ellen and Ashley Morgan then sang “He Chose Me.”

Featured Testimonies: Deanna Moen shared how the death of her father when she was seven years old caused her to pray and give her heart to the Lord. A number of years ago, she felt that she wanted to do something for the Lord, and He led her to help answer mail at the church headquarters office. She ended up answering letters from India. Eventually she became a missionary to that country, and has had the privilege of making many trips there over the last fifteen years.

Butch Carey spoke of attending Sunday school in San Francisco as a boy. After his mom was saved, she took him and his siblings to church, but eventually he decided he didn’t want to serve the Lord. After he graduated, he moved to Portland to live with his sister and began going to church again. Before long the Lord spoke to his heart, and at camp meeting in 1965, he surrendered his heart to the Lord.

Special: Ashley Morgan sang “I’ve Been Through the Blood.”

Sermon: Steve Mixer preached from 1 Corinthians 1:18-25, speaking of the ways God communicates to mankind and pointing out that God’s primary message to men and women is the need for each one to be saved.
