Prelude: A flute trio played “Love Lifted Me” and “A New Name in Glory,” followed by a young ladies’ trio (pictured below) singing “Power to Redeem.”
Featured Testimonies: Janelle Parker said the Lord saved her at a Midwest camp meeting in Murphysboro, Illinois, when she was thirteen years old. After she and her husband married, God blessed them with a little girl, but just a short time later, the baby passed away. Despite her broken heart, God helped her realize that His ways are best, and over the years He has blessed her abundantly.
Joe Burton said that he was diagnosed with cancer in 2019, and the doctors said his prognosis was not good. He came to camp meeting that year, and the Lord showed him that God could heal him just as surely as He could save his grandson. The next week, his cancer numbers were way down, and in January 2021, his scans showed no evidence of cancer.
First Special: The choir sang “Testify.”
Last special: Arthur Ruiz sang “God So Loved.”
Sermon: Andy Chasteen read Mark 6:45-51 for his text, and brought out that spiritual storms may come unexpectedly. However, Jesus cares about each situation, and He will help those who trust Him to navigate the storm and give them peace.
