07-06-2022 – Wednesday Evening Service

Prelude: Pianist Janice Calhoun and organist Sungun Yune played “The Gift of Love” and “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name.” Then Victoria Heintz and Jennifer and Emmaline Worthington (pictured above) sang “God Is Great, Good, and Merciful.”

Featured Testimonies: Milton O’Neill testified that his wife has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, but God is still good, and they thank Him for each new day. Genevieve Ruiz said when she prayed and God saved her, she found a Friend in Jesus and has been able to take every care to Him. Orrin Lee said he had been confused, full of doubts, and lacking faith. However, his family and friends encouraged him to pray, and God saved him on Sunday and sanctified him on Thursday. Aderem Ajibad gave God glory for sparing his family during a house fire in April, where they lost all their worldly possessions. In spite of that trial, they are thankful to have each other and the hope of Heaven. Olabisi Sobowale praised God for saving her on Tuesday; she feels as if a weight has been lifted from her shoulders.

First Special: The choir sang “Battlefield Medley.”

Last Special: Florin Baros sang “Well Done.”

Sermon: Bob Bishop, pastor in Richmond, California, took his text from Acts 16:16-18, and said there is power in prayer. Spiritual milestones are attained when people humble themselves and pray.
