07-02-2022 – Saturday Evening Youth Service

Prelude: The youth orchestra played “Lord, I Need You” and “Lord, Reign in Me.” The youth choir then sang “This Is Amazing Grace.”

Gary Riler presented six music scholarships. The recipients were: Felicia Adesope from Pullman, Washington; Sarah Asaya from Portland, Oregon; Samuel Akere from Madison, Wisconsin; Ebenezer Idowu, Jr. from Madison, Wisconsin; Ayormiposi Ajayi from Washington, D.C.; and Claire Moberg from Portland, Oregon.

Featured Testimonies: Annika Ewers expressed thankfulness for the unity the Lord gives among the people at the altar. Savannah Evans thanked God for helping her through Covid and letting her know she was not alone because He was with her. Sam Popoola shared that before camp meeting he had some problems which were causing him anxiety. However, his dad encouraged him to pray, and when he did, God solved all the problems. Li Arechy (pictured above) told how the Lord saved, sanctified, and baptized him his senior year of high school, and has been helping him with many life changes including finishing nursing school, getting married, and starting a new job.

First Special: A young ladies’ quartet sang “We Fall Down.”

Last Special: Emmaline Worthington sang “Hungry (Falling On My Knees)” with “I Surrender All.”

Sermon: Nick Segres, Jr., the pastor in Atlanta, Georgia, brought the message from Psalm 57:7, urging the young people to keep their hearts fixed on Jesus.
