Prelude: A youth string quartet played “Just a Closer Walk with Thee” and “Rise Up, O Men of God.” They were followed by a McCarville family trio singing “How Great the Father’s Love For Us.”

Music Scholarships Awarded: Following the congregational singing, the annual music scholarship awards were announced by Gary Riler, the music director. The recipients received a certificate and $600 to continue their music lessons, with the goal of expanding their musical talents for the Lord's use. The recipients were Hannah Cook, Henry Parker, and Rebecca Luka.

Featured Testimony: Jim White (pictured below) testified how God truly changed his life in spite of never learning about the Lord as child and having a very troubled, sinful life as a teenager. God has been faithful through the years and blessed his life.

First Special: The choir sang “If God Be For Us.”

Last special: Deborah Brenner sang “Gratitude.”

Sermon: Josephine McElveen, the Southern and Eastern United States District Superintendent, took her text from Psalm 42:1, bringing out that just as a deer pants for a water brook, the soul yearns for a place of peace. She explained that the place of peace can be found near to the heart of God.
