06-30-2023 – Friday Morning Teaching

Prelude: A guitar group played “The Goodness of God,” “Shout to the Lord,” and “Keep On the Firing Line” to open the service. Matt and Mikayla McCarville followed, singing “Don’t Let the Battle Steal Your Praise.”

Featured Testimonies: Gordon Olson said he is thankful for Jesus and especially for the Holy Spirit. Lindsey Millard told how God has been helping her with school and with decisions she needs to make. Shade Ajayi expressed thanksgiving that God has been with her in the midst of recent trials.

First Special: A Richmond vocal ensemble sang “There’s Still Power in the Blood.”

Last Special: Ginny Friesen sang “The Anchor Holds."

Sermon: Josephine McElveen (pictured above), District Superintendent of Southern and Eastern United States and pastor in Washington, DC, gave her message from Proverbs 3:5-6, reminding everyone that God gives a desire for the truth, and He has instructed people to “buy” it and hold onto it.
