Prelude: Janice Calhoun led a group of young pianists and keyboardists in several songs including “God Is So Good,” “The B-I-B-L-E,” and “Glory, Somebody Touched Me.”
Featured Testimonies: Mylo Ivany said that after not seeing his parents for two years, they were able to visit in Portland over the New Year holiday, but everyone was sad when it was time for them to return home, especially his own children. He asked them if they wanted to pray and when they did, God came down and blessed. Kayla Ivany shared that Ecclesiastes has been a comfort to her recently, reminding her that as crazy as the world is now, it has been crazy before and God has been there; we serve a big God and He’s in control. Hannah Cook said her school term recently ended, and she was worried about her grades, especially in writing, but she got an A, and she is thankful for the Lord’s help.
First Special: Mylo and Kayla Ivany (pictured above) sang “Daystar.”
Last Special: Emily Luka sang “More of You.”
Sermon: Larry Montgomery preached from Isaiah 1:1-2, assuring his listeners that it is God’s desire to help them live pleasing to Him, and urging them to be willing and obedient to whatever God would have them do.
