Prelude: A clarinet ensemble with percussion played “Lord, I Want to Be a Christian” and “Just a Closer Walk with Thee.” The choir then sang a medley of “Soon and Very Soon.”
Featured Testimonies: Gary Wolfe thanked the Lord for healing him a few years back when his intestines quit working. Pierre Hancock declared that the Christian life is not boring; it’s challenging and rewarding, and he is thankful that God called after him when he was a young man. Andy Chasteen said he realized at the age of twenty-nine that all he had in life was heartache and scars, but then he attended a church concert where the Lord called after his heart and saved him. Paula Jordan shared that recently, when visiting her mother-in-law, she was experiencing pain in her eye. Upon praying, the Lord removed the pain and it has not returned.
