Dixie Bowlsby testified that during the past year she lost her son and brother, and has been diagnosed twice with cancer, but she has her trust in God and knows that He will see her through. Hunter Cripps said he recently had the privilege to go to Romania to visit our churches, and he is thankful for the blessings he received, and for the strength God gave him for the trip. Jodie Hinkle said that reviewing her prayer journals reminded her of some of the prayers that God has answered over the years, including healings from a back injury and depression, and finding her young son when she did not know where he was.

First Special: Jeremy Barrett, Michael McCarville, and Shawn Worthington (pictured above) sang “I Saw the Light.”

Last Special: Randy Baltzell sang “He’ll See You Through.”

Sermon: Bill McKibben, the pastor in Seattle, Washington, read 1 Samuel 3:1-10 for his text, bringing out that God’s call is universal, yet specific to every individual. He encouraged the congregation to respond to the call of God in their lives.
