Prelude: A young men’s brass ensemble played “This Is My Father’s World” and “Down by the Riverside.”
Featured Testimonies: Dorothy Hansen (pictured above), who recently turned one hundred years old, shared how she first heard of the Gospel at age seventeen when she came to Portland to visit an uncle. He showed her around the town, but also brought her to church, where she gave her heart to the Lord.
First Special: A young men’s quartet sang “Feeling at Home in the Presence of Jesus.”
Last Special: Emmaline Worthington sang “Different.”
Sermon: Erik Calhoun read 2 Peter 1:1-4 and stated that there are no greater promises to humanity than the promises of God Himself to mankind, and God can overwhelmingly exceed expectations.
