Prelude: Rosie Lambert and Steve Hopper played two selections on the piano and keyboard: “Here I Am to Worship” and “Days of Elijah.”
Testimonies: Pete Mixer (pictured above) testified that although he came to church continually as a child, he wasn’t saved until he was out of school, and he is thankful God has been faithful since that time. Debbie Hopper said that not long ago, the Lord helped her when she was struggling with anxiety, showing her that He loves her. Rich Trotter shared that after their recent move to this area, the Lord helped them to find the right place to live, which is a real blessing.
First Special: The choir sang “Whosoever Will May Come.”
Last Special: Debbie Hopper sang “I Choose Christ.”
Sermon: Tom Pricskett read Mark 8:1-2, focusing on how personal this Gospel is, and speaking of Jesus’ compassion on the multitudes that thronged Him, as well as His presence with believers today.
