People began arriving at the Fellowship Lodge around 6:00 p.m. on New Year's Day for an evening of fellowship and reminiscing about the events of 2022. After pastor Dave Lambert welcomed everyone and said a prayer, guests filed through a meal line, which featured Asian style to-go boxes filled with a layer of shredded cabbage, rice, and then teriyaki chicken. These could be topped with a variety of sauces and small mandarin oranges were served on the side.

Once everyone had their meal, a slideshow of photos from church services and events of 2022 began to play on the projection screen. The photos started in January and proceeded through each month of the year. The images brought feelings of gratitude for what God is doing in our congregation, and for seeing so many individuals faithfully participating in the work. Small efforts can easily go unnoticed on a daily basis, but looking back over twelve months really shows how it all adds up to a blessed year. It was a joy to see some youth events in full swing again after having been limited in years prior, and the many images of sweet babies and adorable toddlers also put smiles on faces.

By the end of the slideshow, one could not help but feel thankful for all the special occasions we are blessed to hold and attend each year, as well as the many "regular" occasions that are actually special too. As Jesus tarries, there is much to look forward to in 2023!
