Moving the Wall
The widening of Burnside Street in 1930 necessitated the moving of one of
the church walls 20 feet inward, a feat city engineers deemed impossible.

Inside the headquarters office at NW Sixth and Burnside.

 

Old Tabernacle
The original tabernacle was built in 1921 and had canvas sides
which could be raised to let in cooling breezes.

A well-loved musical ensemble which often strolled the
campground serenading the campers.

 

White Cars and Workers
Workers traveled by car into the downtown areas of Portland to
hold Gospel services on the street corners.

 

Evangel
In 1927, the Apostolic Faith came into possession of a 21-passenger
Mack Bus, which literally became a church on wheels.
