Reverend Darrel Lee, Superintendent General of the Apostolic Faith organization, and his wife, Debbie, enjoyed the privilege of making a first-time visit to Apostolic Faith churches in Newfoundland, Canada. The first few days of their visit, which took place from March 26 to April 1, were spent in the central part of Newfoundland with the congregations in Birchy Bay and South Brook. Members from some of the northern churches had come south for the meetings, and others from the southern part of the island went north for those meetings. The Lees spent a memorable Palm Sunday weekend visiting churches in Roddickton, the district headquarters, as well as Bide Arm and Englee. They were overwhelmed by the outpouring of warm hospitality, which included delicious meals and a snowmobiling trip to see moose. The church services were a special blessing. There were testimonies of past and recent healings and other victories. A combined choir sang in all of the meetings. The prayer services following the meetings were especially notable and always blessed by the Spirit of the Lord. The Lees commented that those who enjoy singing Gospel music need to experience a meeting in Newfoundland. The people of God there like to sing choruses—and visitors need have no concern about not knowing the words, because every chorus is sung more than once! One evening there was a concert and it was a community event in spite of a snow storm. Newfoundland is
a beautiful place and the Lees returned feeling they had met equally beautiful
people! Birchy Bay, Newfoundland
