The Apostolic Faith Church in Birmingham, Alabama, held a Youth Fall Festival on Sunday, October 19. The evening began with a congregational song, “Blessed Jesus, Hold My Hand,” followed with a prayer by Christopher Dixon, a minister from our church in Columbus, Georgia. The combined youth and young adult choir marched in while they sang “Hosanna, Blessed A Sunday school student from Anniston very eloquently recited Psalm 113, and before the sermon,the combined choir sang “Order My Steps.” The guest speaker was Robert Brooks, from Anniston, and he spoke to the young people about the need to be born again, and to be grateful for all the things the Lord has done for them. After the message, many young people, as w After the altar service, the youth department served refreshments in the fellowship hall and greeted each guest with a smile and a goody bag. A joyous time was had by all, and the oneness that was felt was a reminder of Psalm 133:1, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” The Birmingham church, as well as those visiting from the other branch churches, praise God for this blessed youth service and time of fellowship, and their prayer is that young people will be encouraged to seek God and draw nearer to Him.
