21 Ways to Say, “I Love You”
- Hide little love notes in a coat pocket, Bible, car, desk, or wherever
your love will find it for a nice surprise.
- Prepare a surprise candle lit gourmet dinner for two.
- Send through the mail a love letter listing the reasons, “Why I love
you so much.”
- Surprise your love and plan a picnic lunch with the works; picnic
basket, sparkling cider, goblets, etc.
- Write a pledge of lifelong love to each other in calligraphy, or design
it on a computer, print it on parchment paper and have it framed.
- Show your creativity by making a card for your love with a photo of
the two of you. Include a poem, Scripture, or get ideas for a saying
from store-bought cards.
- Tie a message onto a single flower explaining how its beauty reminds
you of your love. Have it delivered at work for an extra surprise.
- Write the story of your relationship, from when you first met until
the present time. Share, from your perspective, how you felt at each
stage.
- Write a poem (it doesn’t have to rhyme).
- Make a coupon book and include coupons for a back rub, a compromise
when about to lose an argument, a listening ear when needed, and doing
the dishes when the other cooks. Be creative.
- Design your personal crest. Include and combine symbols that are meaningful
to both of you.
- Make a “love” paperweight: find a smooth stone, paint it, and write
a message of love on it.
- Buy favorite fruits that are not in season.
- Announce a message of love on a radio station. Make sure your love
is listening at the right time.
- Take your love’s car to get thoroughly washed and detailed.
- Bake a giant cookie, decorate it, and write “I Love You” in frosting.
- Write a love song.
- Make a big sign that professes your love and hang it in front of the
house for everyone to see.
- Change a habit that your love has wanted you to change.
- While out together, arrange for someone to sing your favorite love
song to the two of you.
- Place a message of love in the “Personal” section of the local paper.
