On Monday, I went to the Chimbarongo church which now bears the Apostolic Faith logo. A remarkable transformation has taken place there in both the church building and services. Among the changes, a raised portion on the front of the church now serves as the altar, time is set aside for prayer before each service, testimonies are included in the meetings, and the collection plate has been replaced with a tithes box. I met with the four pastors, and then participated in the evening service which was very sweet.

image Sam Ajayi arrived in Chile on Tuesday and spent his first three days in the Santiago area. He visited the seven churches there which decided to become Apostolic Faith during his last trip to Chile in April. Upon arrival, Brother Sam met with the ministers to offer support and guidance. He then participated in evangelistic services held in each location (El Bosque Norte, Las Claras, El Bosque Sur, Forrester, Linderos, Colonial Kennedy, and Roto Chilenos). He writes that “the Lord really blessed each of the services and the reception was very grand.”

image Sam Ajayi, Director of South America work, sends an encouraging report at the conclusion of his Peru missionary trip. Before his trip began, our hope was to formally establish an Apostolic Faith group in Iquitos, Peru. However, he indicates that those expectations have been far exceeded.

Sam Ajaji arrived in South America late Tuesday with plans to spend most of the month there, and he sent this report of the first few days:

image “Lima, Peru was the first stop on this trip to Peru and Chile. Peru is generally divided into three regions: the coast (towns and cities on the Pacific Ocean), the mountains (towns and cities on or near the Andes), and the jungle (towns and cities within the Amazon Rainforest). The focus of this portion of the trip will be on
Iquitos—Peru’s largest city in the Amazon.
