Many years ago, a seed was planted when some of our literature reached South America and sparked an interest in the Latter Rain Gospel. That interest grew, and with cultivating, the Apostolic Faith work has begun to spread in Argentina and Chile.

The Japan church after their 2010 Christmas service.

In speaking with Hidehiro Ouchi on the telephone today, it was reassuring to hear again that all of our church members remain safe and sound. In addition, none have lost any relatives from the earthquake or tsunami. Brother Ouchi expresses sincere appreciation to God’s people around the world for praying for our church family in Kawasaki and the people of Japan. They still feel several aftershocks daily, but remain confident that they will not be directly impacted from the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant disaster.

We were happy to learn today from Brother Hidehiro Ouchi, District Superintendent of Japan and pastor of our Kawasaki church, that all of our Japan church members are safe and well. Most of them live in the greater Tokyo metropolitan area, which includes Kawasaki. Brother Ouchi writes that although the earthquake shook them to the point where they could hardly stand, our church building sustained no damage and all of our members are unharmed.

A week of special meetings in Portland began last Friday evening with a youth service, and already we have seen the Lord working. We have greatly enjoyed the fellowship of many guests from out of town, however we understand that not everyone can make it to Portland at this time. If you are one of those who cannot be here with us, we encourage you to watch the services each night at 7:30 p.m. (PST) on our Live Webcast page, or view them later on the Video Anthology page.
