image The McKibbens have returned from their trip to East Asia. Brother Bill gave a report of last week’s activities, saying their final days in Korea were fruitful. On Monday, they visited with several saints from our Busan church along with the pastor, Sang Gyu Kim.

Our team in Romania continued to make home visits in the Pascani area through the remainder of last week. On Thursday, their first visit was to the town of Butea where they were surprised to find forty waiting for them. They had an enjoyable service lasting two hours. The people sang with all their hearts while tears flowed freely, and the time went by quickly. Brother John and Brother Harlan both shared their testimonies in a message. Afterward, there was a time of prayer. The mother of the main family, who is the matriarch of the church, was thrilled with the service and happily knelt to pray.

Our team in Romania visited three more localities on Tuesday. The first was Cosmesti, a very poor area where the Ferariu family is our main contact. A cottage meeting was held and there were twenty-seven, including our team, in the service. They enjoyed singing congregational songs and then a father and his sons provided a musical special. At the close of the service, everyone knelt to pray. Brother John said this was fairly significant for people who have been part of the Eastern Orthodox culture. The group seemed very appreciative of the visit. Before our team left, two were anointed and prayed for, and several indicated that they wanted to receive salvation.

Our team in Romania (John Musgrave, Harlan Lee, Ted Bora, and Gheorghei Macovei) arrived in Pascani on Monday, and after meeting with Vasile Budeanu (our missionary to the northern Romania/Moldova region) they began making home visits. Brother John said this area is a bastion of the Orthodox Church and considered the most difficult part of Romania to evangelize. However, Brother Vasile has established cottage meetings in over thirty villages.
