image A final report has come in from John and Rodica Musgrave of their visit to the saints in Romania. On Friday, they attended church in Margaritesti, a small village of about nine hundred. Brother John said they enjoyed a nice service with gracious people who always appreciate greetings from Portland. Sister Rodica shared her testimony, and it was received with affirmations and tears. Afterwards, they had a good time of prayer followed by fellowship over the large meal they were served.

After attending the special meetings in Sydney, Australia, Brother Sam traveled to Melbourne where an additional weekend of meetings was held. He sent the following report:

The Melbourne revival weekend kicked off this past Friday with a lot of anticipation. The brethren from Perth arrived a few days in advance and were soon joined by those from Sydney.

Throughout the weekend there were inspiring messages as the Lord opened His Word to us. The prayer meetings followed the same pattern as in Sydney with people tarrying long at the altar and praying fervently.

John and Rodica Musgrave continue visiting several of our Romania churches, spending the first half of the week tending to legal matters and meetings with pastors. Thirty attended a western Romania Ministers’ Meeting on Wednesday at the west Romania headquarters church in Zadareni. Afterward, the local saints served a chicken dinner that included soup, sarmale (cabbage rolls), bread, desserts, and more. The brass band from our church in Gottlob came in time to eat with them so there were at least eighty present. A church service followed the dinner and included several instrumental specials by the brass, congregational singing, the ordination of Viorel Farcas, and a message. Brother John said a good time of prayer was followed with “a long good-bye.” The rest of his report said this:

The Music
The Lord has blessed the music department which now has two accomplished pianists/organists as well as two conductors, and on Wednesday the choir and orchestra gave a sterling performance in the annual Evening of Music. The choir rendered among other songs, “I believe,” “Looking for a City,” and “We Shall See the King.” There were also instrumental numbers including a piano solo of "The Entertainer." In addition, a female choir sang "Glad Reunion Day,” and a male choir sang a light-hearted medley that included, "Do Lord," "Move On," and "We’ll Soon Be Done." The evening closed with the choir singing an uplifting "Glory Special." It was quite a night; the musicians did a fabulous and high-quality job!
