This entry is posted in loving memory of Brother Dan Walden. I learned after writing what follows that he passed away this morning. Please pray for his wife, Marylee, their daughters, Sarah and Rachel, and for all of their family members. Brother Dan devoted hours and months to Christmas on the Campground and was instrumental in its success, this year and every year since it began. We will always remember and appreciate his enthusiasm for the Lord’s work.

image Dwight Baltzell, Director of Africa Work, and his wife, Susan, are in Harare, Zimbabwe, for the 2014 Southern Africa camp meeting. Harare serves as our district headquarters and its pastor, Oniyas Gumbo, is the Southern Africa District Superintendent. It is expected that 2,000 will attend this year’s meetings, representing our churches in Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, the United States, and of course, Zimbabwe.

Sunday, November 9, was a momentous day for the Apostolic Faith Church in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Their new house of worship in Smith Bay was dedicated after twenty years of construction. Since the groundbreaking ceremony in 1994, the project had been delayed several times due to a series of natural disasters and financial constraints beginning with Hurricane Marilyn in 1995.
