Dear Family of God:

As we approach the opening of camp meeting 2014, we do so with thankful hearts for the blessings of God we have seen and the victories we have experienced since we last met on the campground. With the Psalmist we say, Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful (Psalm 116:5).

image Two years ago, a few members of our headquarters office staff came in contact with a man from Honduras named Steve Bush. He has a ministry to children on the island of Roatan, an impoverished area with abundant opportunities for youth to get into trouble. Steve operates a soccer league that includes about eighty boys, and he requires them to attend school and Sunday school in order to play in the league. The Sunday school is held in the basement of his own home.

image After a brief stop in Rimnicu to visit a family they met last year, our team in Romania went to Pascani to make home visits in the area. Over the Easter weekend they visited several homes, including one with a family of thirteen who they said received them gladly with bright smiling faces. The father was very sick and the mother in a wheelchair, so our team anointed them and prayed for them in accordance with James 5:14. They also sang songs and shared Luke 18:16, “Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.”
