For the lessons on the Rapture and end times prophecies, I made a poster of Bible prophecies about Jesus, Israel, and the world, and cut it into pieces to make a puzzle. Then each week I put together some of the pieces and talked to the students about which pieces of prophecy have already happened (we taped those to the chalk board) and which ones are still yet to happen (we set those apart).

image Lesson 105 is called "Christ the Cornerstone" and talks about the prophecies about Jesus. So the center of the poster I made was a picture of Jesus, which I divided into many puzzle pieces and wrote one prophecy about Him on each piece. For example, one piece has "Born in Bethlehem" on it, one says "Born to a virgin," "Died for man's sin" etc. On the middle piece I wrote "Coming again" and we set that piece aside because that prophecy hasn't happened yet. I left the puzzle on the board to continue working on the following week.

image Lesson 106 is "Historical Israel" and relates the many prophecies about the nation of Israel. So I chose several and found an image to represent them--a map of Israel for the prophecy of Israel becoming a nation; a picture of a Shekel to represent the restoration of the Shekel, etc. I taped the pieces into place as we talked about each one. I made one that has not yet been fulfilled--a picture of the Temple to represent the rebuilding of the Temple and explained to the students that is one of the few prophecies yet to be fulfilled. Again, I left the puzzle up to talk about the next week.

image Lesson 107 is "Signs of the Times" and covers prophecies about the end times around the world. I had more puzzle pieces with pictures to represent those signs. There were pictures to represent famine, earthquakes, wars, etc., and we talked about each prophecy as we added the pieces to the puzzle. One end times prophecy that has not yet been fulfilled is peace in Israel, represented by a peace sign.

By the end of the last lesson, the kids could see that almost all the pieces are in place, and Jesus is coming very soon. I also explained that everything is in place for the Temple to be rebuilt, and that diplomats have been trying to make a peace agreement in Israel for years.

Since the next lessons were also about the end times, I left this puzzle on my chalk board for most of the quarter and referenced it often. It was a very helpful illustration!
